What happens if I clear my browser data?

Your notes are stored exclusively in your browser’s IndexedDB. If you clear site data, cookies, or browser storage, your notes will be permanently deleted from this device. There is no cloud backup.

To protect yourself, use Transfer → Export Full Backup as JSON regularly to download a backup file. You can re-import it at any time using Transfer → Import JSON Backup.

How does Private Transfer work?

Private Transfer is a quick, one-time handoff between your own devices — not ongoing sync. When you share, your notes are locked on this device first, then a short-lived 3-word code is shown. The receiving device scans the QR code or types those 3 words to unlock the notes locally.

The relay never receives your raw 3-word code or your note contents. The transfer expires after 5 minutes and disappears the moment the receiving device downloads it. Sharing creates a copy — your original notes are never removed.

How do I move notes to a new device?

You have several options. Single-note Private Transfer is available to everyone, including Free users.

Share This Note (Free): Open a note and use the Share action, or go to Transfer → Share This Note.
JSON Backup (Free): Export all notes as a JSON file, then import it on the new device.
Share All Notes & Folders (Pro & Max): Go to Transfer → Share All Notes to move everything in one transfer.

Is there a mobile app?

Sulata Note is a Progressive Web App (PWA). On iOS (Safari), tap the Share button and select “Add to Home Screen”. On Android (Chrome), tap the menu and select “Install app”.

Yes. Your license is verified once when you activate it, then stored locally in IndexedDB. Pro and Max features remain fully accessible whether you are online or offline.
